Q. I am interested in exhibiting at IFSEC 2009. What should I do?  Please contact a member of the IFSEC Sales team who will advise on stand availability and pricing.

Q. How do I access the exhibitor technical manual?  The Exhibitor Technical Manual will be live in January 2009. The Manual will be accessible through the Exhibitor Zone. You will be able to log-in using the password which will be sent to you via email and by clicking on the link 'Technical Manual'.

Q. When will I receive my exhibitor badges?  Approximately 3 weeks prior to the show. If you need replacement/additional badges, they can be obtained from 2pm onwards on Sunday 10 May 2009.

Q. How do I access the PR and marketing guide?  The PR & marketing guide is accessed through the  Exhibitor Zone ; log-in using the password sent to you via email and by clicking on the link 'PR & marketing guide'.   If you have problems with your log-in or password, please email Paula Richards, Senior Event Co-ordinator or call +44 (0) 20 7921 8073. The PR & marketing guide will be available shortly.

Q. I have lost/not received my password to access the exhibitor secure zone. What should I do?  Please complete the password request form on the Exhibitor Zone login page. Your password will then be emailed to you.

Q. I would like some help with PR & marketing in the run up to the show. What can I do? Please refer to the PR & Marketing Guide, accessed through the  Exhibitor Zone, which contains essential information on how to maximise your investment at the show. Alternatively contact the Marketing Team.

Q. How do I create my own page on the IFSEC 2009 website? Our website attracts massive visitor traffic in the lead up to the show and we've made it easy for all our exhibitors to promote themselves and their new products. You can access your extranet page through the Exhibitor Zone using the password sent to you via email. For any queries regarding the extranet facility, please contact Sally King  on +44 (0) 20 7921 8658.

Q. Am I entitled to a free entry in the official IFSEC 2009 show guide? Yes, as an exhibitor at IFSEC, you are entitled to a free entry in the official Show Guide, which is distributed free of charge to all pre-registered visitors. Please refer to the PR & marketing guide, accessed through the Exhibitor Zone, for further details.

Q. Can I submit press releases to appear on the IFSEC 2009 website? Yes, you can upload your press releases via the Exhibitor Zone.

Q. Can I nominate my important clients for VIP status? Yes, you can nominate 20 of your most important clients to receive automatic pre-registration, a free show catalogue onsite and use of the VIP facilities at the show. Please refer to the PR & marketing guide, accessed through the  Exhibitor Zone, for further details.

Q. When will I receive my contractor passes? Approximately 3 weeks prior to the show.

Q. What should I do if the details on my badges are incorrect? When you arrive onsite, the badge query desk can amend any details and print off a revised version of your badge.

Q. Is there parking at the venue? Yes, there is car parking for 21,000 vehicles and regular complimentary shuttle buses to and from the main entrances.

Q. Are there any products that are restricted by UK customs? Can I exhibit fire arm products or weapons? British law has always been very strict about who can own or move firearms, ammunition and explosives but this is even more evident now with the continual threat of terrorism. All firearms and explosives must be licensed and there is a total ban on offensive weapons such as knuckle-dusters and flick knives.
It is also against the law to import:

• High voltage electric ‘stun guns’.
• Pepper sprays, CS gas canisters and other self defence sprays.
• High-powered air rifles. 
• Martial Arts weapons such as death stars and swordsticks.
  
• Knives that have a concealed blade or a sharp point such as belt buckle blades.
  

People are not allowed to bring component parts of guns into the country, unless they have a licence for the weapon for which the parts are intended.

All firearms must have a police shotgun licence or firearm certificate as individual gun parts can be put to several uses. Other than legitimate repairs, they can also be used to reactivate guns that have previously been modified to stop them from firing.

Please do not attempt to bring any of the above mentioned products to IFSEC. Failure to heed this warning will result in immediate explusion from the exhibition and possible imprisonment.
