Welcome to IFSEC International 2012!

We would be delighted to welcome members of the press to IFSEC International 2012. If you wish to attend, please click here to complete the press registration form. Your press pass is free-of-charge and will allow you entry to all three co-located events, including all seminar and conference programmes, and use of the exclusive press office (room 2.5).

The IFSEC International 2012 press office is digital!
To ensure IFSEC International 2012 is as sustainable as possible, the press office will be digital. Exhibitor press packs will therefore be provided on our branded USB sticks and there will be terminals in the press office for you to work on. There will also be wireless internet access for those who bring laptops.

Press FAQs

How do I register for a press pass?

Please register for your complimentary press pass using the ‘Press Registration’ tab in the Press/News menu. Alternatively, you can register on site free-of-charge.

When will I receive my press pass?

You will receive your unique registration number (URN) within the fortnight prior to the event. When you arrive on site, you will be required to enter this number into the badge registration terminal which will print your press pass.

What does my press pass entitle me to?

Your press pass entitles you to free entry to all three co-located events, free access to all of the seminar theatres and use of the press office. In this exclusive area, you will be able to browse information from exhibitors, access the internet for free and receive complimentary refreshments away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor.

Can I bring members of the editorial team with me to the show?

All members of the press are welcome to attend the event(s) free-of-charge. If you wish to bring colleagues with you, please ensure they register on the website or on site.

Will there be car parking facilities and will it be free-of-charge?

Car parking is available on site at a charge of £8 per day. UBM does not take responsibility for car parking services and will not be able to reimburse anyone using the on-site car parking facilities.

Where will the press office be?

The press office will be located in room 2.5 which is located by the entrance to Safety & Health Expo.

Will there be storage space for my luggage/laptop/equipment?

There will be space for anyone wishing to bring any luggage or equipment to the press office. However, UBM cannot take responsibility for the security of these items. Please do not leave your equipment or baggage unattended at any time. cloakrooms are situated adjacent to the hall entrances and are open daily.

Will press packs be available in hard copy or electronic format?

Press packs will be provided in electronic format only on our branded USB sticks. There will be computers in the press office for those wishing to view the electronic press packs as well as wireless internet access for those with their own laptops.

Will there be internet access?

There will be wireless internet access in the press office as well as terminals that you are invited to use.

Will the press office be manned?

The press office will be manned at all times by a member of staff.

Will refreshments be provided?

Refreshments will be provided in the press office for all registered members of the press.

How do I retrieve official show photos?

Please contact Martineé Reid (PR & Communications Executive) after the event who will be able to source official show photos for you.

Can our publication bring our own photographer to the show?

You are welcome to bring your own photographer to the event(s). Please register your photographer as press either on the website or on site.

Will filming be permitted at the event?

Filming is permitted at the event. In order to do so, you will need to pre-register your videographer on the website and inform the IFSEC PR team you are intending to film as we need to inform the NEC Birmingham. Please also bring with you a risk assessment.

What time will the press office close?

The press office will be open between 09:30 and 17:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and from 09:30 to 16:30 on Thursday.

When will official visitor figures be available?

Our visitor figures are ABC Audited and will therefore not be available until at least four weeks after the event.
