Organised by the British Security Industry Association, show organisers UBM Live, UK Trade & Investment DSO and supported by the International Trade Promotion Centre, Meet The Buyers offers one-to-one introductory meetings for UK exhibitors to present their products and services to security buyers from a diverse range of countries, from Spain to Saudi Arabia.
Available exclusively to IFSEC exhibitors, the Meet the Buyers ‘speed networking’ event has introduced UK businesses to over 1,200 overseas buyers in the three years it has been running, resulting in almost £10 million worth of predicted sales.
BSIA Export Council Chairman, Paul Ramsey, comments: “The significant amount of business that has resulted from the Meet the Buyers event demonstrates the important contribution that UK security companies make to the British economy, and the event offers a unique opportunity to those exhibitors wanting to venture into or expand their overseas trade.”
For the 2010 show, the UK Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation and the BSIA are working in partnership to host an inward mission of visitors from the following countries; Argentina, Canada, Egypt, India, Italy, Lebanon, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and Vietnam.
The delegation will be available for a series of ‘face-to-face’ introductory meetings in a ‘speed networking’ format on Monday 10 May. If you wish to register to receive further information please email Paula Richards.

Henrique Lopes from Domusea - Home Automation and Security Electronic Equipments (www.domusea.pt) has participated in the Portuguese Inward Mission to IFSEC 2009 last May.
At the Exhibition they met the UK company Fike (previous Rafiki) (www.rafikiprotection.com), which was at that moment trying to expand their business to Portugal.
Soon after the exhibition both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the integration and installation of Fike´s fire detection systems in the Southern Region of Portugal.
Last November Domusea technicians went to the UK for training and the first supplies have already arrived for installation.
