Categories 1 to 7 are open exclusively to exhibitors participating in IFSEC 2010.
1. CCTV Camera Equipment of the year
Any camera equipment including camera, lens or software.
2. CCTV System of the year (excluding cameras and lens)
CCTV systems and components including control equipment, transmission equipment and monitoring facilities.
3. Intruder Alarm or Exterior Deterrent Product of the year
Any component of an intruder alarm system or exterior electronic deterrent system, including detectors, control equipment, warning devices and transmission systems.
4. Physical Security Product of the year
Any physical product that prevents or deters access including locks, fencing, barriers and grilles, will be eligible.
5. Access Control Product of the year (including biometrics)
Any component of an access control system, including entry devices, biometric devices, control equipment and transmission systems, will be eligible.
6. Communication Product of the year
Any communications product, including IP hardware/software, IP applications, transmission devices, lone worker devices or vehicle tracking/people tracking devices, will be eligible.
7. Integrated Security Product of the year
Any product (excluding alarm transmission equipment) that enables the integration of security or management systems into a centrally controlled network, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, fire systems, barrier control, emergency lighting and building automation systems, will be eligible.
Categories 8 to 10 are open to exhibitors and non-exhibitors.
8. Security Project or Security Installation of the year
This award will go to the most innovative and exciting security project or installation completed since February 2009, and is open to any security business.
9. Guarding Service delivery to Customer
This category is designed to recognise a security guarding company that has proposed and delivered an innovative solution for a customer above and beyond the normal contractual arrangements. Entries from all guarding companies are welcomed.
10. Best Policing Partnership of the year
This category is designed to showcase the very best working partnership between private sector guarding companies, police forces, local authorities and crime-fighting partners in the community, and how a team-based ethic has been fostered to combat crime and anti-social behaviour.
