Surveillance solutions developer and manufacturer Cathexis Technologies has recently completed the integration of the new Canon Full HD network (IP) cameras into their CatVision Video Management software suite.

The Cathexis CatVision suite of software provides solution for most applications, from single store retailers to multi-store enterprises to huge mining and industrial installations. The systems are easily upgradeable and support single or multi-server environments.
The software includes simple setup wizards for adding cameras and encoders and caters for multiple video channel streaming. The software also supports bi-directional audio and I/O control on devices that provide those features. The Canon Full HD network cameras all offer bi-directional audio and two inputs/two outputs.
Also supported are unicast and multicast streams together with on-camera (EDGE) analytics as well as analytics capability on the recording servers.
A Health monitoring feature ensures that any technical issues are reported automatically to ensure minimum downtime of the system.
The Canon VB-H41, VB-H610VE, VB-H610D and VB-H710 all offer Full HD video with superb image quality. These cameras uses newly designed lenses to offer best in class ‘field of view’ range, combined with low light performance. These are two important factors to look at when choosing the right camera for the job.
