KEA shall endeavor to set a good example as a representative organization

Developing the overseas market and providing marketing support

KEA is hosting the Korea Electronics Show (KES) every October. We create synergy effect through joint hosting by KEA, Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, Korea Display Industry Association, etc. (more than 1,000 companies from about 30 countries participating each year).
We also operate an integrated system of electronic components in Northeast Asia (www.partsfinder.com) and push through with commercialization.

Gathering industry opinions for the promotion of the electronics & IT industries and representing their interests

KEA cooperates with the government to promote the electronics & IT industries and supports the electronics & IT enterprises. We provide member-specific services for increasing KEA member’s profitability.

Building the foundation for dealing with patent disputes

KEA provides free patent consulting, analyzes pending patents and formulates counterstrategies.
We are operating about 75 patent consultative bodies by item and a corporate federation. Also, we are supporting enterprises through international cooperation and training programs. Information service on www.ipac.kr.

Providing field-oriented training for the cultivation of technical professionals

KEA IT Academy is a specialized training center affiliated with KEA. The academy is training the job applicants and field technical workforce. (www.educ.or.kr).
We are revitalizing Sectoral Human Resources Development Council(SC) in the electronics & IT industries and building a network linking the industry to the academe. (www.manpower.or.kr).

 Dealing with international environmental and energy regulations, supporting the green IT industry

KEA supports enterprises concerning environmental and energy regulations. Visiting and Telephone consulting is available through 6 institutions and hotline (82-1600-8182). We provide information on www.ecoe.or.kr. Mailing services, education and seminars are also provided.

Supporting the IT-based home appliance industry

The 3D Fusion Industry Association (3DFIA) was established in 2010 to support 3D Fusion industry(www.3dfia.org), and for mobile convergence industry, the Mobile Convergence Industry Council is being operated. KEA supports to enhance the technical capabilities of SMEs specializing in next-generation mobile convergence. (www.mobiletech.or.kr).

Building standard infrastructure for the electronics & IT industries

We support dealing with official international standards (IEC, ISO, JTC1) and building the strategic response system of an international civil standards organization having high level of market dominance. (IEEE, RosettaNet).
Also, we enact, amend and verify the Korean Industrial Standards (KS) as a Co-operating Organization for Standards Development. (COSD).

Korea Broadcasting Equipment Industry Center (KOBEC)

To increase the competitiveness of the broadcasting equipment industry, KOBEC implements various projects such as operating a council, helping broadcasting equipment penetrate overseas markets, providing R&D and commercialization support, researching on and recommending policies. Supporting electronic & IT products with comprehensive safety measures

Upon the occurrence of a dispute over Product Liability between the consumer and the business operator concerning an electronic product, compensating the consumer for the damage and easing the burden on the manufacturer through prompt; thus contributing to the establishment of comprehensive safety measures for electronic & IT products.

Revitalizing the electronic medical industry

KEA operates a council for the electronic medical industry and a support organization to develop original technologies for the next-generation medical equipment industry. We are pursuing plans of exporting Korean-style digital hospitals and committed to operating a forum, a support center for medical-IT convergence, Private - Public meetings, research on and recommending policies.
